Our Siberian Cats at Show
2009/2010 CFA show season has been very sucessuful.. Bugsy became the first Siberian kitten to become a Regional top 25 kitten, placing 15th. He was the best Siberian kitten and our Sebastien Nikolai was 2nd best Siberian kitten in CFA Nationally.. Misha beacame a Grand Champion and a regional winner placing 24th in Region 5. Misha was the 2nd Best and Bugsy was 4th Best Siberian in CFA Nationally. Bugsy placed 26th in Region 5 and also became a Grand Champion. Bugsy was the Best Siberian kitten at the CFA International show in November making 5 finals in 6 rings, placing 7th Best kitten in the show.. Jean continued to represent the breed at the Meet the Breeds in New York, San Diego Show, and at the pet Expo in Costa Mesa..
This next year is very promising with 2 kittens showing in Canada and another kitten showing Region 4..
Our cattery and cats are registered with CFA, TICA and ACFA. We immediately began showing our two males Jean and Sadko at the CFA International show in Nov 2006 Since then Jean has become a Grand Champion, Regional Winner, and has won the CFA Breed Award for 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons. Sadko has become a Grand Champion. Our own Yvaine became the first Sineglazka Grand Champion after becoming the best Siberian Kitten in the 2008-2009 season. Our newest Import Misha Zemchug Nevy of Sineglazka became a Grand Champion in Setmber 2009. We are continuing to share with the US public these beautiful cats we have been blessed with. The Russians have had color points in their breeding programs since records have been kept by the Russian cat fancy breed clubs. It is believed that long ago the feral pointed cats and the feral Siberian cats got together along the banks of the Neva river in Leningrad in the 1960's and the Russians notice this festive color and began incorporating them into their breeding programs the nickname for these color pointed cats is Neva Masquerade But the Russians breeders have never used an outcross breeding to obtain the color pointed Siberian. They are not shown in Russia as Neva Masquerade or a separate class but as Siberians. Being a natural cat breed, any color and combination is possible.
